How should I store my soap?

Our soap likes to breathe! Please do not store your soap in a plastic bag or airtight container for long periods of time. Store in an area that is cool, dry, and allows air circulation. Air exposure promotes longer lasting quality.

How long does your soap last?

Although we find that our handcrafted soap gets better with age, we always recommend using our soap within 12 months of purchase. Soaps scented with pure essential oil tend to fade quicker than fragrance oils due to light and air sensitivity- so we recommend using our essential oil soaps within 3 - 6 months.

Is there lye in your soap?

It all begins with our blend of cleansing, moisturizing, melted oils and butters mixed with lye water. Once the soap begins to saponify, lye is no longer present in the soap and becomes glycerin. Short answer, no, there is no lye present in our soaps. Enjoy the suds!

Are your products vegan?

Yes! Our soaps are made only from oils and butters that are not derived from or tested on animals. Our fine selection of colored soaps are only made with natural colorants like turmeric, spirulina, and other herbs and vegetables.

How are your soaps scented?

Most of our soaps are scented with essential oils, natural oils derived of aromatic plant parts. Essential oils bring both medicinal and aroma-therapeutic benefits to our bars and your skin. Any soaps that are gently scented with fragrance oil are clearly labeled as so.
